Rustin is an attorney with range. From representing Fortune 100 companies in complex, high-stakes litigation and litigating cutting-edge technologies to helping start-ups develop legal strategies, his experience enables him to develop winning strategies in any context.

Before joining Eagle Law, Rustin was a litigation attorney at Gibson Dunn and then co-founded a law firm to serve clients in a more personalized and cost-effective manner. His experience includes representation in securities litigation, trade secret misappropriation, defamation matters, patent infringement disputes, copyright infringement claims, trademark cases, and contractual disputes. Rustin also served as a Reserve Officer in the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps, where he led a military legal office with a wide variety of military matters and worked at the Pentagon overseeing aviation torts matters.

Rustin is also a former KC-135 and C-37 pilot in the U.S. Air Force with over 3,000 flight hours, including combat time in Iraq and Afghanistan. He served as an instructor and evaluator pilot in each aircraft before deciding to attend law school. Rustin holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration and type ratings in Boeing, Gulfstream, and Hawker aircraft.

Rustin earned his law degree from the College of William & Mary (America’s oldest law school), where he served as an editor of the William & Mary Law Review. Upon graduation, he was inducted into Order of the Coif (academic honors) and The Order of Barristers (excellence in oral advocacy). He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University with a major in physics and minors in mathematics and aerospace studies.
